So maybe August is a little early to walk 13 miles.
I did a little over eight miles this morning and holy shit, my body is flat-out pissed at me. Really, I’m feeling pretty good now, but today’s walk was rough. It seemed like I never was able to get into a good groove. I was already feeling out of my element at the three-mile mark, and I almost decided to just do the six and get it over with. But fuck that, I’m no quitter. I powered through, and then I resolved to never walk again, like the opposite of a spinal injury patient.
That may be inaccurate, but I’m going to slow my roll a little bit. I got a little ahead of myself. I’ll see how I feel next week about doing 10, but I might just do 6 or 8. In any case, I’ve done about 16 miles this week, so I can’t complain too much. Besides, I’m two pounds away from 40 lost and 2.3 away from losing 10% of my body weight.
Also, it’s less than four weeks to Mancave!
Breakfast:
Eggos/eggs/Tapatio
Lunch:
Blue Cheese bacon burger (homemade), apple
Dinner:
Carrots, red and green peppers, baguette/hummus/turkey/ham/cheddar sandwiches
You idiot. I am making your dinner... And you are having healthy chicken taco salad. Also, 8 miles is exactly 13 kilometers, which is appropriate considering the day. Please don't increase your mileage too much too fast; you can actually do damage. Be smart so you can stick with it.
